How to Pay With USDT in Nigeria: A Beginner's Guide

New to crypto? How to buy USDT with naira and send it on the BEP-20 (BSC) network, step by step, without losing money to the wrong network.

USDT is a digital dollar. One USDT is worth about one US dollar, and it moves between countries in seconds. That is why Needool accepts subscription payments in USDT: it works the same for a member in Lagos as for one in London.

If you have never used it before, this guide takes you from naira to a completed payment.

The one rule that matters most

Needool accepts USDT on BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), also written BSC, and on no other network.

USDT sent on TRC-20, ERC-20, Polygon or any other network will not arrive and cannot be recovered. Always check the network before you press send.

Step 1: Open an account on an exchange

An exchange is where you swap naira for USDT. Pick one that works in Nigeria, sign up with your email, and complete identity verification. Verification (a photo ID and a selfie) is a one-time step required by law.

Step 2: Buy USDT with naira

Most Nigerians use one of two ways:

  • Bank transfer: some exchanges accept a naira bank transfer directly.
  • P2P (person to person): you buy USDT from another person on the exchange's P2P market, paying them by bank transfer. The exchange holds the USDT until you have paid.

Buy a little more than you need, because your exchange may charge a small fee when you send.

Step 3: Start your payment on Needool

Choose your plan on the pricing page. Needool shows you:

  • The exact USDT amount to send
  • The address to send it to
  • The network: BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20)
PlanMonthlyYearly
Individual5 USDT30 USDT
Business10 USDT60 USDT

Step 4: Send it

In your exchange, choose Withdraw for USDT, then:

  1. Paste the address. Never type it by hand.
  2. Select the BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20) network.
  3. Enter the exact amount shown on Needool.
  4. Check everything once more, then confirm.

The payment usually settles within seconds to a few minutes.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Wrong network. This is the costly one. BEP-20 only.
  • Sending a different amount. Send exactly what Needool shows.
  • Typing the address. Always copy and paste it.
